A snapshot of ships both trading today and under construction which do not use bunker fuel has been provided by Clarkson Research Services, showing alternative fuels are now in use on 3.5% of the current fleet and 27% under construction (by vessel tonnage). LNG and LPG dominate this total, but ethane and other fuels are being incorporated into the global fleet, as well.
