Ms. Sahib has worked in various capacities while in Fiji, however, after completing her Master of Arts in Development Studies, focusing on tuna fisheries development, she moved to Majuro, Marshall Islands (for love and work). She has worked in the Marshall Islands Marine Resources Authority for almost 5 years as the International Fisheries Policy Analyst. She has wide experience in policy analysis, resource management, negotiating, and management. She has represented the Marshall Islands at various regional and international fora in relation to Fisheries, Oceans, Climate Change and Sustainable Development Goals. She joined MCST to further pursue her interests in fishing industry and carbon emissions from the fishing fleets operating in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean. Ms. Sahib is the Research Associate at the Center and hopes to contribute towards addressing the issue of climate change from a fisheries perspective.
