Impact of COVID-19 on Fiji Arrivals Shows Stark Decline

Fiji Bureau of Statistics released visitor figures for September, showing only 1,005 arrivals compared to 81,354 visitors last September. Of the 1,005 visitors who arrived, 822 came by sea (most as crew on fishing vessels) and 183 came by air. 62 arrived on yachts. 526 Fijian residents left the country in September, largely on short-term work-related trips.
