JIFMAR GUYANE has selected the Neptune Shipyard, a Dutch company, to build their new CANOPEE vessel by the end of 2022. It will be operated by ALIZES, a joint venture between JIFMAR OFFSHORE SERVICES and ZEPHYR & BOREE.

Since October, detailed engineering studies, including hull tank testing, have been scheduled, with the keel to be laid in the second quarter of 2021. 

The construction of the vessel will take place between the Netherlands and Poland, with GROOT DESIGN, a design office specialized in “Open Top” cargo vessels, based on the architectural project carried by VPLP design which had enabled ALIZES to win the ARIANEGROUP tender. VPLP has been an integral partner in the preliminary design of the Project Cerulean vessel.
