Salmon Waste Considered As Biofuel Source

A partnership between Green Fuels Research, the University of Cardiff, and London South Bank University is now exploring conversion of waste from the UK’s booming salmon farming industry into a renewable biodiesel fuel source under the SALMO project, backed by the UK Department for Transport.

This project aims to aid in decarbonisation of the UK shipping industry alongside sustainable management of animal by-product waste from UK aquaculture.
