SPREP has stated the central Pacific region (Kiribati, Nauru, and Tuvalu) may experience below normal rainfall during this period, while higher than normal rainfall is expected in Fiji, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Southern Cook Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu.

Food crops, water access and hygiene and safety are expected to be impacted as a consequence of tropical cyclone season and droughts, floods, or landslides.
