Sea Cargo Charter May Step Out In Front of IMO Regulations

The announced Sea Cargo Charter has raised arguments from the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) that due process at the IMO ought to have been carried out rather than charterers pressing ahead with their own greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting schemes.  Despite this, the ICS has offered to work with the Sea Cargo Charter signatories to ensure they can deliver on the their new commitments.
