BP and Shell Still Place Support Behind Anti-Climate Change Lobbying Groups

Shell and BP are still active members of at least eight trade organizations lobbying against climate measures in the United States and Australia. These organizations have created a network of state and regional trade associations boasting about quashing climate change response policies. BP and Shell refused to disclose full lists of trade associations where they have ongoing involvement.

Questions are now being raised regarding climate pledges by the oil companies, as they are still funding lobbying operations that undermine their new commitments.
