ABC, working with CMB on the BeHydro hybrid ship engine (powered by green hydrogen and diesel) has been announced, claiming potential emissions reductions of up to 85% from ships, trains and electricity generators. The BeHydro engine has a capacity of up to 1MW, claiming it can produce as much power as a single 3MW turbine or 36,000 solar panels - enough to meet the needs of up to 3,000 homes, reducing emissions by up to 3,500 tonnes a year compared to typical diesel motors.
