“Fiji’s actions and ambitions show what we expect of the world,” Bainimarama said. “First, we need clarity on how parties will improve sustainability when it comes to the management of their marine resources,”...“Next, we must scale up the innovation and technology needed to harness ocean energy as a means to drive a low carbon transition.” Mr Bainimarama urged world leaders to note that ocean ecosystem protection, as part of our collective climate action, could spark the most rapid and impactful transformation towards net-zero economies.
